Traditional Craft Classes: Finishing Sloyd with Warren
April 5 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Our Traditional Craft classes continue in April! These pay-what-you-can (even if that’s $0) events help continue traditional craft education here in Berea. Come spend time with local artists as you learn hand tool woodworking or blacksmithing. Signups are through the ticket links on our facebook events, or through our calendar at www.bereamakerspace.org/calendar
On April 5th, Finishing Sloyd with Warren (Advanced Workshop)
Warren leads this Sloyd intermediate course – spend the finishing your own wooden utensil. Learn about sanding and burnishing, oil finishes, painting with acrylic and food safe milk paints. This is an intermediate class, and requires you to bring your own wood carving tools. The hook and straight carving knives provided in Starting Sloyd should be everything you need.
Minimum age: 16 (adult must be present for minors). Feel free to reach out to Warren to see if your kid will be a good fit.
