
Miniature Masterworks

The EKU Choirs will present their final concert of the semester – Miniature Masterworks – on Sunday, May 4 at 5:00 pm in Gifford Theatre (Campbell Building).
EnChor (SSAA) and Koros (TTBB) will join forces to present “A Vision Unfolding” by Kyle Pederson under the direction of Dr. Jill Campbell. This compelling work about connection and community features text and narration by Langston Hughes, Walt Whitman, Robert Bode, Shanelle Gabriel, and Kyle Pederson.
University Singers (SATB) will present “The Courage for Love” composed and directed by Dr. Richard Waters. Originally composed for choir and orchestra, this performance features a revised chamber version for oboe, clarinet, and string quintet. The work features the poetry of Wendell Berry, as well as excerpts by Emily Dickinson, John Keats, and Sara Teasdale. EKU alumni Kelli Evans (MM, 2020) and Christian Snyder (BM, 2024) will return to The Campus Beautiful to sing the soprano and baritone solos.
The concert is free and open to the public.
