Beginner Blacksmithing with Bob Montgomery

Do you get excited by blacksmithing in your favorite games or shows, and want to explore how it really works? Come spend an afternoon with Bob Montgomery, a local artist and blacksmith, as you learn the basics of the craft.
In this three hour session, get hands-on with Bob and begin working out your first projects on the anvil. Projects may change every month, but the focus is on the process and building your experience. Repetition is key.
Minimum age of 13. Must wear appropriate clothing for being around fire – closed toe shoes, hair pulled back. We have eyes and ear protection available if you’d like.

Bob Montgomery specializes in hand made wrought iron, sculptural pieces, teaching, and blacksmithing demonstrations. Bob runs Wolf Gap Mountain Forge, located outside Berea, KY.
