A Milestone Year: 40 Years of Bluegrass Student Art at EKU Giles Gallery
EKU Giles Gallery and the School of Art & Design are honored to present the ’40th Annual Bluegrass Regional High School Art Exhibit’, showcasing outstanding creative scholarship by regional high school students. The included works of art and design embrace a diverse range of media, techniques, and genres. Organized by Dr. Ilona Szekely, the exhibit will be on display from March 16–27. Meet the makers at a closing reception and awards ceremony on Friday, March 27, from 5:00–7:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Join us for our special 40th anniversary celebration, where ICCA School of Art & Design studios will be open during the public reception with engaging activities throughout the Campbell Building!
The 40th Bluegrass Regional High School Art Exhibit is generously supported by the Kentucky Art Education Association (KyAEA), Giles Gallery, School of Art & Design, Institute for Creative & Collaborative Arts, and the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences.

ABOUT THE GALLERY
Founded in 1973, the EKU Giles Gallery serves both the campus and commonwealth, showcasing multidisciplinary creative work from artists of regional and national acclaim. The gallery is named for Fred Parker Giles, serving Eastern Kentucky University from 1939–64. EKU Giles Gallery is part of the School of Art & Design (SoAD) and the Institute for Creative & Collaborative Arts (ICCA).
