DESCRIPTION
The Art Student Association, Giles Gallery, and the School of Art & Design spotlight student creative scholarship each spring in this annual exhibition, on view April 6–17, with a free public reception on Thursday, April 9, from 5-7PM. This exhibit is part of the campus wide EKU Scholars Showcase.
Competitive juried exhibitions such as this provide university students an opportunity to have their work reviewed by an outside professional. Our 2026 juror is EKU alum Kiana Mahjub, Executive Director of the Berea Arts Council.

ABOUT OUR JUROR
Kiana Mahjub is an artist and arts administrator serving as Executive Director of the Berea Arts Council (BAC). She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Eastern Kentucky University in 2019, with a concentration in printmaking. Following graduation, she completed multiple grant-funded projects through the Kentucky Foundation for Women, further developing her studio practice and community-centered approach to arts administration. In early 2022, Mahjub began her role with the Berea Arts Council, leading large-scale community initiatives, exhibitions, and public-facing programs that expand access to the arts and strengthen local creative networks.
GALLERY HOURS
EKU Giles Gallery is open to the public, and free to attend, Monday-Friday, 11AM – 4PM when exhibitions are on display.

DIRECTIONS
Giles Gallery is located on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University in the Jane F. Campbell Building. From I-75 take Exit 87 and turn East onto KY-876/Eastern Bypass. From the bypass, turn left (North) on Lancaster Avenue, after .5 miles, turn right (East) on to Crabbe Street. Giles Gallery is located on your right in the Campbell Building.
PARKING
Free parking for patrons is typically available after 5PM on weekdays, and throughout the weekend, directly across the street from the Campbell Building in the Crabbe Lot. Please be advised, the Crabbe Lot is a pay lot during normal business hours, payable via the Park Mobile App, Lot # 3355. For a complete guide to parking on the campus of EKU, click here.
ACCESSIBLE PARKING
Passengers with physical disabilities may be dropped off at the Campbell Building Crabbe Street entrance.
Designated parking spaces are available to visitors with the appropriate Disabled Persons Parking Placard in front of the Campbell Building.
A wheelchair accessible ramp is located at the front of the Campbell Building.

Awards will be presented at the reception on Thursday, April 9, 5-7PM.
ABOUT THE GALLERY
EKU Giles Gallery is located on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. Serving campus and the commonwealth since its founding in 1973, the Fred Parker Giles Gallery celebrated its 50th anniversary with a significant renovation. The renovated venue spotlights multidisciplinary creative scholarship from artists of regional and national renown. The gallery is named for Fred Parker Giles, a distinguished Professor of Art at EKU from 1939-1964.
